Luxurious utensils for kitchen as well as for Health
We all know that market is full of decorative utensils. But we should know which utensils are decorative , luxurious as well as good for our health.
Use of BPA line cans which contains Bisphenol A, which is linked to several health issues such as cancer, infertility, obesity and diabetes. This Bisphenol A is found in hard plastic such as water bottles, eye glass lenses, baby water or milk bottles, sports equipment’s etc. This hazardous chemical enters in our body through such food containers and water bottles of plastic. Therefore, it is always advisable to avoid use of plastics. This will also be a great initiative for saving our environment. If complete stoppage of use of plastic is not possible then at least use BPA free materials may be started. Small initiatives like carrying cloth-bag while going to market will be useful for avoiding use of plastic bags. Store food stuff such as grains in non-plastic material like earthen, or Steel vessels.

1. Brass (पितल)
Brass is one of the beautiful metal to prepare utensils . Ancient time it was used to drink and store water .While cooking in brass utensils the organic acids present in food get reacts with metal hence before using the vessel it is need to coat the alloy surface by deposition of metal tin on it. It has antibacterial properties. It also helps to increase immunity. Uses of this utensils helps to enhance digestion. Brass contain combination of copper and zinc in precentage of 66% and 34% . Brass is a good conductor of heat hence it helps to save fuel ultimately this utensils also become cost effective. Brass vessel should be washed or clean properly with lemon, baking soda, haldi.
2. Steel
It is durable, safe, neutral, affordable. It doesn't impact the flavour of food. Always try to use vessels of heavy bottom. Steel can be available in different quality so need to avoid low quality steel to avoid metal leaching. Always keep clean utensils properly wash with warm water and soap.
3. Bronze (तांबे)
Same as brass vessel bronze vessel should be coated by metal tin to avoid reaction with food stuff. Copper have antibacterial properties . It also help in improving digestion. According to Ayurveda copper have Lekhan properties ( Scrapping) hence use of copper vessels to drink water can also help for weight loss. Copper also help sugar to convert into energy . It also produce red blood cells and improve heart quality.
4. Iron vessels
Iron vessels plays important role in developing red blood cells. It balance tridoshas, enhance rakta dhatu, boost immunity. Use tava for roti and kadai for vegetables .
5. Stone
Mortar and Pestle for mixing preparing chutney. It also help to remove oil from some grains. With bashing and squashing motion helps to release flavour and aroma from substance.
This maintain the perfect taste and flavours of ingredients and donot disturb it's nutrition. Old but tradition utensils maintain health and wealth too.
