Diabetes and it's Preventive measures.
India is one of the leading country where diabetic patients are increasing day by day. It is need of time to know why many people are suffering from the diseases such as diabetes.
This is the disease which are not only suffered by old age people but also young adults and children too. This disease is spreading on large scale due to lack of awareness and lack of knowledge about how we can prevent ourself from such kind of diseases.
Diabetes is a life style disorder. Now a days people have hectic schedule or not following proper Dinacharya ( Daily routine) and ritucharya ( seasonal routine).
The main cause of diabetes are overweight, obesity, inactive lifestyle. Other causes of this disease are hormonal imbalance, improper secretion of insulin.
Diabetes means when our blood glucose level is high. Blood glucose is main source of energy which comes from food we eat. The insulin hormone secreted by organ pancreas helps the glucose to enter in our Cell and convert into energy. Hence physical activity leads our body to develop more energy from glucose and so our sugar level is maintained.
There are different types of diabetes human may suffer such as
1. Type 1 Diabetes
In this immune system affected and destroy the cell in pancreas that make insulin. This diabetes mostly get affected to children and young adults. They need to take insulin daily.
2. Type 2 Diabetes
Insulin is not prepared by body and if sometime prepared but not used by body is type 2 Diabetes. This can occur in any age group from children to old age people.
3. Gestational Diabetes
This is developed in women specially when they are pregnant. This type of diabetes get disappeared after delivery of baby.
Following are the risk for diabetic patients
1. Kidney disease
2. Heart Disease
3. Skin disease
4. Eye Disorders etc.
Preventive measures are as follows:
1. According to Ayurveda the most important to get safe from all lifestyle diseases is to follow proper Dinacharya and Ritucharya.
2. Increase physical activity so that our body glucose get converted into energy and hence our sugar level in blood will be maintained.
3. Do exercise such as Mandukasan which improves activities of Pancreas.
4. Instead of white sugar use stevia for Diabetic patients and those who are healthy or not suffering from diabetes can have Jaggery instead of white sugar.
5. Avoid maida products from your daily food chart
6. Do fast walking atleast for 10 to 15 minutes as physical activity increase insulin secretion and prevent from increasing sugar level deposition in blood.
7. Eat fruits which are rich source of vitamin A, vitamin c and fibres such as Papaya, pomegranate, jamun etc.
8. Have karela powder, Neem Powder, giloy powder with lukewarm water early in the morning. Take 1 small teaspoon of above powder with 1 cup of lukewarm water. ( Use this under guidance of Ayurveda Doctor with precautions).
9. Vegetables such as green leafy vegetables, karela, chia seeds,beans,broccoli,flax seeds, garlic,squash etc use in your diet.
10. Avoid packet food, instant readymade food,maida products, alcohol, candies, fruit juice added with sugar etc.
Try to maintain Dinacharya properly by doing breakfast, lunch, dinner ontime with food rich in nutritive value.
