Deep amavasya | why it is important related to digestive fire?
In India deep amavasya is celebrated by lightening diyas everywhere. This deep amavasya comes in July month before a day start of shravan mas according to hindu calendar that is july to august.
According to ayurveda from july to september month is said to have varsha rutu. This Varsha rutu means rainy or monsoon season. According to ancient treatise the disgestive fire of human being is very low. Hence we have to take some preventive measures to build our digestive fire. We should have light food which is easy to digest for example soup of vegetables. We should also avoid green leafy vegetables in this season.

It is also said
that we should have fasting to make our digestive fire in better condition.

We should drink
lukewarm water. We can also use copper vessel in monsoon as it has anti-bacterial
properties.

One can have
turmeric milk or gold milk in monsoon.

Turmeric is
having anti -oxidant, antibacterial, anti -inflammatory properties.

During monsoon one should avoid day time sleep
habit as it disturb our metabolism.

As our body
energy is low in the monsoon one should do less exercise.

We can have
seasonal fruits. According to Ayurveda monsoon season aggravates vaat dosha so
to maintain vaat dosha of our body the procedure of panchakarma is recommended called
basti karma.

One should have
regular body massage.
